"Everything is going Agentic" is accurate framing but the analysis needs to be grounded in what that actually means at the infrastructure level. Agentic finance isn't just AI making financial decisions, it's AI agents that can hold wallets, initiate transactions, pay for services, and receive payment all without human sign-off at each step. x402 is one of the key primitives that makes this work at the API layer: it lets an agent encounter a paywall mid-task and pay through it instantly rather than stopping to ask a human. The addressable market here is hard to understate. Global B2B payments alone exceed $120 trillion annually, and a significant portion of that involves repetitive, rules-based transactions that are prime candidates for agent automation. The "beginning" framing in this title is correct. We're at the stage where the plumbing is being laid. The interesting analysis will be what agentic finance looks like when 5-10% of those transactions are actually flowing through autonomous payment rails. That's where the real design decisions get tested.
