The AI Dispatch #34 - Robotics, Vader Pivot, Backroom OCDs
Ciao guys, and welcome to the AI dispatch - number 34!
As we continue experimenting with new formats, this week we have no guest piece, as well as no market overview.
Just pure curated alpha.
Take a look at this compilation of some of the best AI content around.
Also.. While we’ve already started mentioning some of these tokens a while ago, it seems the timeline is finally heating up and reaching consensus that robotics is going to be the next wave.
Looking for a starting point? Here’s an interesting list of tokens to keep an eye on:
Dive deeper into them with this great introduction to the subject by Blocmates:
We also had some drama on SentientAGI. What’s it about?
While AI was supposed to revolutionise our lives, for now, we’re mostly covered by a bunch of AI slop and annoying comments here on Twitter. All of this reinforces the importance of the concept of “Proof of Humanity”, being able to prove that you are, indeed, a human.
Prediction markets are back to levels similar to the previous US elections. What’s up there? Here is a list of interesting protocols from Jeff:
Too much ADHD to read? Just dive into them yourself:
From InfoFi to AttentionFI, the case of Trendle:
In other news, Vader, one of my (RIP) favourite projects, has recently announced their pivot and today announced EgoPlay, a gamified platform to complete tasks with SMART GLASSES and get Vader points. Yes, I had the same reaction, don’t worry.
These daily tasks are not like a Galxe campaign.. But rather mundane everyday tasks like: folding clothes, washing dishes, making sushi, playing golf, cleaning surfaces, packing a box, feeding kittens, cutting fruit, shuffling cards, guiding a wheelchair, operating a drill, playing piano chords and more.
Why smart glasses, you might be wondering? Apparently, “research indicates that data collected from smart glasses can play a significant role in training humanoids, with the referenced research achieving a 70% zero-shot success rate”.
We’d love to learn more about the future Vader vision, and maybe host VaderResearch for a future AI dispatch.
Well, well, looks like some Virtual projects are indeed moving into real-world value. Flyte just facilitated the first flight booked on Base and paid in USDC:
We’re also big fans of Backroom, which is bringing a new model for OCD (Onchain Deals), leveraging high signal KOLs.
Another project i really like is REI Network, here’s a great piece highlighting its unique value proposition by 0xPrismatic:
Talking about some cool experiments, last week, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology launched the largest AI educational sandbox, with over 100,000 AI agents trying to reinvent society together (hence the name AI-lization).
Looking for more alpha? Here’s how you can use Dexu AI:
Apparently Albania is using an AI agent as part of its government? WHUT?
Focusing on DeFai: What’s up there?
In addition to this, we highlight how Almanak has already reached over $50m in TVL:
That’s all for this week, see you next Monday, Chads!
